About SportStatNow
Sports math, solved instantly.
SportStatNow started with a frustration Eric ran into constantly running his fantasy leagues and settling pickup-game arguments: he'd need to check a stat — a QB's passer rating, a pitcher's ERA, a shooting percentage — and every "calculator" he found online either buried the formula behind ad-choked pages, got a subtle detail of the math wrong, or gave an answer with no way to verify it.
So he built something better. SportStatNow is a collection of free, no-account-required stat calculators across baseball, football, basketball, and hockey that give you the right number instantly — and show you exactly how it was calculated, so you can verify it yourself instead of taking it on faith.
Eric has played in the same fantasy football and baseball leagues for years and has spent more nights than he'd like to admit cross-checking stat formulas against league rulebooks after finding two "calculators" that disagreed with each other. He built SportStatNow to fix that: one place with the correct, cited formula for every stat, across every major sport.

How it works
Every tool on SportStatNow is grounded in a documented, citable method — a published formula, an authoritative standard, or a well-established model. We don't approximate or invent numbers. If we can't cite a primary source for the logic, we don't publish the tool.
For official statistics (like NFL passer rating), the source is the governing league's own rulebook or published formula. For advanced/sabermetric stats (like true shooting percentage or FIP) where more than one version exists, we use the version most cited by authoritative sources — FanGraphs, Baseball Reference, Basketball Reference, and similar — and name it explicitly, so you know exactly which formula you're getting.
Our commitments
- Free, no sign-up required. Every tool on this site is free to use with no account, subscription, or paywall.
- We show our work. Every tool explains its methodology, cites its sources, and surfaces assumptions — so you can verify the logic, not just trust the output.
- Honest about limitations. Where precision is limited or assumptions are required, we say so. Tools compute; they don't replace professional judgment.
- Kept current. Tools that use figures that can change over time carry a “last reviewed” date and are treated as an ongoing maintenance responsibility, not a one-time build.
